Senior Quality Assurance Manager

As a SENIOR QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER, you will lead our Quality Control department in day to day quality processes throughout the manufacturing and development cycles of our cutting edge products. Oversee our Quality Management System within our organization to gain commitment, compliance, and ensure continued alignment with company long term business strategies. You will build a culture of accountability while developing and leading people to achieve continuous improvement and drive change.
SENIOR QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Oversee our Quality Management System.
Select, train, evaluate and develop direct staff to facilitate the attainment of the company quality objectives.
Develop team culture to provide an optimum environment for employee growth and contribution.
Ensure quality metrics are adequately captured, analyzed and communicated to company leadership for improvement activities.
Manage corrective action and preventive action (CAPA) activities, monitor customer satisfaction and maintain a focus on the prevention of customer complaints.
Foster the creation and application of improved quality methods, systems, and solutions to increase customer satisfaction and market competitiveness.
Develop and maintain internal quality metrics and tracking systems, evaluate data and trends, and develop actions via CAPA.
Validate quality processes: establish product specifications and quality attributes; measure production; document evidence; determine operational and performance qualification; write and update quality assurance procedures.
SENIOR QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER SUCCESS FACTORS:
Bachelors degree in an engineering or science discipline; advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in aerospace.
5+ years of experience in quality leadership role.
ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM), ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) and/or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
Advanced knowledge of quality standards (ISO9001, AS9100), statistical analysis, root cause analysis, quality measurement, APQP, CAPA, SPC, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
Proven track record of leading and managing quality initiatives that have resulted in improved productivity and reducing cost of non-conformance in a manufacturing setting.
Excellent communicator with proven organizational and negotiation skills.
Proficient computer skills with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to train teams to resolve various issues using available tools.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts.
